Please note that seniors MUST attend all practices in order to participate in Candlelight and Graduation. Keep in mind that while seniors are not in classes this week, that these are still considered "school days" and these practices need to take precedence over jobs or other activities.

***We appreciate extra flexibility with the practice at Merrill. Due to busing, traffic, and any other factors beyond our control, these should be considered approximate times.

Graduation Apparel & Tickets Pick-up Date

On Thursday, May 22nd, from 1-5 PM caps, gowns, tassels, and graduation tickets will be distributed in the FHS gym lobby. The cost of the announcement & apparel package is $25. Tickets to graduation are free and are distributed on an as-needed basis; parents should have a firm number of tickets needed for their invited guests. We expect to be able to provide up to 8 tickets per graduate on this date. For any larger requests we are very confident that they will be fulfilled, however to ensure all families' needs are met we will make extra tickets available once everyone has had the opportunity to pick-up their tickets.

We hope we can also answer any questions you might have about upcoming senior graduation events and look forward to seeing you on May 22nd.

Graduation Announcements & Tickets

On Tuesday, April 8th during Advisory, members of the Class of 2014 Executive Board will be distributing Graduation Announcements and envelopes to all seniors. As part of the package negotiated with the graduation vendor, each senior will receive 4 graduation announcements, in addition to cap, gown, and tassels, for $25 (to be paid at cap and gown pickup in May). The announcements are a formal way of informing a graduate's family and friends of a student's graduation, and include the traditional inner and outer envelopes (why it may seem like you got too many envelopes!). These are being distributed now, so that if a family would like additional announcements, there is time to order them from the vendor (using the contact information included with the initial 4 announcements).

Here are some links to additional information on graduation announcements:

Jostens Graduation Guide

Graduation tickets will be distributed at the cap and gown purchase day in May. All family members and guests (including infants/children but not the graduates themselves) are required to present a ticket to enter Merrill Auditorium. Up to 8 tickets per family, based on need, will be distributed on that day (exact date TBA). For any families requiring additional tickets, a list will be maintained of additional requests, and extra tickets will be distributed prior to graduation. Given that we have never completely filled Merrill Auditorium for graduations in the past, we expect to be able to honor all requests for additional tickets.

Graduation Planning Class Meeting

During the Advisory period on Tuesday, March 11th there will be a class meeting in the cafeteria.

** Announcement. For Senior Discovery- the one and only chance for anyone to make-up the CPR class is Friday, March 14 from 8:00 - 8:56 in room 110.

Graduation is only about three short months away and now is the time to start making decisions about the end of year events. In the meeting today we will be discussing class song, class gift, and individual roles at graduation events. We are asking all seniors to consider these topics, especially those interested in an individual role at one of the year end events. If you think you might want to serve in an individual role, as a speaker, performer, marshal, conductor, or accompanist, please complete the Senior Survey indicating your interest. (This is not binding and you can decide not to later.)

  • To inform the executive board about your ideas or interest in an individual role, please complete the Senior Survey. NOTE: you will need to login with your falmouthschools.org email address in order to complete the survey.

Diploma Names Wanted

Dear Parents and Students of the Class of 2014,

We would like to have parents verify how their son's/daughter's name should appear on his/her diploma. Please visit: http://www.falmouthschools.org/diplomaname to learn how you may do this in just a few minutes via PowerSchool. It may seem early, but we have a firm deadline of January 13, 2014 in order to pass the information on to the printer. If we do not receive information by this date, we will use the graduate's name as it appears in PowerSchool.

Thanks!
